Privacy Policy

The short version

Founder's Plot is a mobile game made by Long Watch LLC. We collect the minimum data necessary to run the game, process purchases, show ads, and improve the experience. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers named in this policy who help us run the game.

What we collect and why

Account and game data
When you play, we store your game progress, player-invented products, in-game economy state, and settings in our database (Supabase). This data is tied to an anonymous player ID. We do not require you to provide your real name or email address to play.

Purchase data
If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made and what was purchased — we do not receive your payment card details.

Advertising
Founder's Plot shows rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob. On iOS, we ask for your permission before allowing AdMob to use your device's advertising identifier (ATT prompt). If you decline, you will still see ads but they will not be personalized. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data for ad targeting. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Analytics
We use Amplitude to understand how the game is played — which features are used, where players get stuck, and what needs improvement. Analytics data is behavioral (what actions you take) and does not include personal identifying information beyond an anonymous player ID.

Device location (approximate)
We use your device's approximate location to assign a regional weather profile that makes the game's weather events realistic for your area. We do not store precise GPS coordinates. Location data is used only for this purpose and is never shared with advertisers.

Player-created content
If you use the product invention system, the text you submit is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for evaluation. Submissions are moderated for policy compliance. Do not include personal information in product descriptions.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate the game. Each has its own privacy policy.

Data retention

We retain your game data for as long as you have an active account. If your account is inactive for 24 months, we may delete your data. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Analytics data is retained for 12 months and then aggregated or deleted.

Children's privacy

Founder's Plot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, or to request a copy of your data, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents: you have additional rights under the CCPA. We do not sell personal information.

EEA/UK residents: you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interests (running the game) and consent (for advertising identifiers on iOS).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and on this page. The effective date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.
